My unit will not turn on with the brush head off:
|
| |
- Rotadent should be fully charged. It is recommended that the handle charge for a minimum of 8 hours. Note: If the unit is plugged into a ground fault protected outlet, be sure that the outlet is not switched off.
- Make sure the charger is disconnected from the handle during use. The handle will not run with the charger connected. Make sure the brush head is removed from the handle.
- Turn handle on. You should hear the motor running. Look in the end of the handle where the brush head connects. The metal shaft should be turning. If the shaft is not turning it may be that the magnetic switch needs to be cleaned.
- Using your fingernail, “pop” off the On/Off switch. Clean the bottom of the switch and the area on the handle where the switch belongs with isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip. Replace the On/Off switch with “ON” at the top of the handle. Your model may not have the words On or Off on the switch. In that case place the magent portion toward the top.
- Turn handle on. You should hear the motor running. Look in the end of the handle where the brush head connects. The metal shaft should be turning. If the unit does not turn or if back of the switch looks rusty, the switch may need to be replaced.
- Look at the power handle bottom; there will be a hole with a male connector pin in the middle of it. What color is the pin inside the opening at the bottom of the handle? The pin should be silver and shiny. If the pin is corroded or rusted, it will be a tarnished green or brown color. This may not allow a proper electrical connection when the charger is connected therefore not allowing the handle to charge. If the pin is not shiny, then Click Here to submit a request for help.
- What color is the charger plug? It should be silver and shiny. If it is corroded, it will have a tarnished green or brown color. This may not allow a proper electrical connection when the charger is connected therefore not allowing the handle to charge. If the connector is corroded, then Click Here to submit a request for help.

Brush Head Troubleshooting Tips:
|
| |
- If the handle is turning but the brush head is not when it’s attached, the brush head needs to be replaced. Click Here to submit a request for help.
- If the handle loses a charge quickly or runs slowly when a brush head is attached, the brush head is probably worn out and should be replaced. Click Here to submit a request for help.
- If the post where the neck attaches to the handle has been broken or damaged, it may bind the neck and cause the battery to be discharged at a much faster pace. If the brush on the brush head is severely splayed or hard, it needs to be replaced.

| Tips to care for Rotadent® to ensure it will continue to operate properly: |
| |
- Use only a damp cloth to clean the handle as immersing or drenching the handle in water may cause internal damage to the Rotadent. This includes using the Rotadent in the shower.
- Avoid storing the Rotadent in a cup or other vessel that holds water as continued exposure to the standing water may cause corrosion or internal damage to the unit.
- The charger supplied with your Rotadent is designed specifically for use with the Rotadent. Plugging the Rotadent into a charger other than the one supplied may cause damage to the unit and the charger.
- If the handle has been dropped, it could sustain internal damage that may not allow it to run or may allow it to run sometimes.

| Tips for Rotadent® brush heads care: |
| |
- Clean the brush head after each use. If toothpaste is used the buildup of toothpaste can cause additional drag or friction on the filaments resulting in more amperage drain on the battery which will cause the battery to discharge at a more rapid rate.
- Replace your brush heads regularly (every 3 months) or when the filaments become splayed or flattened out.
